Simone is one of our poster girls because she lives and breathes DIYPT. She truly does the training and nutrition herself (with our guidance and support, of course) as she has the drive, passion and a massive ‘WHY’.
Her why is her baby girl Bella and now their new child on the way.
Join me in congratulating her and her husband Matt on their second kid. This is one of the many client stories I’m extremely proud about as Sim and I did the impossible.... .
When I first met Sim and asked her why she wanted to train with me, she said her goal was to have a child because she had been told when she was in her early 20s that this probably wasn’t on the cards. Sim has Epilepsy, and was diagnosed when she was 5. She’s been on high amounts of medication daily since then and because of the amounts she was on during puberty, it was going to be unlikely that she could carry a child. After an appointment with Sim’s neurologist, they decided to slowly decrease her meds in the hopes that she might be able to fall pregnant. This is when Sim started training with me, as she wanted to be as healthy as possible to give the pregnancy and future child the best chance.
4 years later here we are and they’re having their second. Thanks Sim for being such a great role model to all women out there. You’re such an inspiration!
There's no better transformation than your own.
This is my result after my initial four weeks coming back from a 3 week Christmas break where I gained almost 3kgs!
For me, the first four weeks of a fitness program is the hardest mainly because of the food plan.
After 4 weeks I dropped 4.1% body fat and 3.2cm off my waistline.
I would love to know how your fitness journey is going so far in 2019.
Remember, keep your eyes on the prize.
Transformation = increase strength.
“I had a Trainer for 2 years before I went onto a DIYPT program and didn’t get much results from it. In fact, I achieved more in my 13 weeks with DIYPT than in the 2 years with the previous Trainer”.
Yani increased her strength by more than 30% in the squat and deadlift and 20% in her overhead press.
I loved your commitment to your program and for always asking questions. It shows in your results the hard work and dedication you put in.
Transformation = Weight loss and improved posture.
One year today my client Alex, a CEO of a global company, hired me to help him lose weight and improve his posture as he was involved in a car crash that gives him neck pain.
In a year, Alex has lost over 15 kgs, increased his strength by over 50% in each of the main lifts of barbell back squat, deadlift and overhead press and as you can see from his picture, he has improved his posture dramatically.
Great work Alex and happy Anniversary.
It’s very special to hear when a member expresses how proud they are of what they have achieved... so take it away Ivy:
“I’m so proud to say that I have comfortably lost two dress sizes, and I’ve lost 13kgs since I started the program in February.
With this, my eating habits and how I look at food have changed for life. I know I’m fitter and stronger, both mentally and physically. My outlook on life has never been at its highest and I’m not the only one benefiting, my family are too.
However, the biggest achievement I have gained since starting the program is accountability. This may sound stupid but truly accepting and understanding my part of the process was hard. I was (and at times still am) a walking book full of excuses. I have no time or I’m so tired because I work full time, have three kids, scrapping through to keep a household running or I have to help with my husband’s business. And yes the list goes on.
But in the end, I took a step back and thought to myself, you’re full of shit. I know I can make time for exercise, so stop bullshitting and make the time”.
We are so proud of you Ivy because we know you’ve created new healthy habits for you and your family forever!
Transformation = Tone up and reduce body fat. Sze did very well on our program as you can see from the photo.
He learned a lot about nutrition and what foods and strategies work well for him.
The main takeaway for him was tracking his macronutrients. He found it very simple and logical to do and found a way to fit the method into his busy lifestyle of running his own business as well as having a wife and two kids.
Amazing work Sze, if you keep it up I believe you can compete in your first physique competition!
Transformation = increase size.
It has been exactly one year since Joe finished my 13 week program.
He is officially a gym junkie. All he does is eat, train and sleep.
Joe is also a prime example that getting the body you want doesn't just come over night.
It has taken more than a year to get to where he is now and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication, which is impossible without passion.
You get passion from enjoying exercising and the confidence it gives you and/or you get passion by having a core reason, a cause, a purpose or belief why you want to exercise.
For example, I need to exercise so I can play and grow old with my kids; if I don't exercise I will die; or I need to increase my confidence and bounce back from my break up with my ex-girlfriend/boyfriend.
Keep it up mate and happy anniversary.
Transformation = improved back posture.
The 1 year difference in the photos is because Elias' DIYPT program was predominantly focused on resistance training.
Elias had no previous training experience when I met him so I worked with him 1 on 1 first and then after 8 months, he was ready to do the program on his own with our weekly support and guidance.
Congratulations Elias. Your commitment and hard work has paid off. I remember the first day I met you, you were a shy, softly spoken boy who lacked coordination and moved around with pain. Now you're moving, pain free with better posture and beaming with confidence.
My client Liz has had a tough journey with her fitness goal. She came to me early March this year with a lot of fear and anxiety because she has battled body confidence issues from a very young age and has had bad experiences with not only training in a gym but a very bad experience with training with a Personal Trainer.
Her weight in the first month kept fluctuating because she has some health issues that were conflicting with our strategies, namely a major car accident in 2000.
Furthermore, she struggled to implement some of my suggestions into her eating; we bumped heads a few times on different ideas I recommended; and she had a number of injuries and sicknesses that we overcame. Every 2 weeks we reassessed how Liz was going and if it wasn't going to plan, we talked about it, learned from it and did better the next time. When you don't give up, you can't fail.
Since March she lost an amazing 13kg. And in a span of 4 months she lost 7.1cm off her waist, 3.4cm off her hips, 5cm off her thighs and 2.5cms off her arms. Most importantly, she is more confident in her body and in herself and is loving the online format of our program.
In the first 3 weeks of Nicla joining DIYPT, she dropped 3kgs in weight and 4cm off her waist.
She works long hours and is very time poor and on call most days, so she only manages about 2 workouts a week. The biggest difference for her has been tracking her macronutrient intake.
Transformation = increased muscle mass.
Jack won our 2019 Lean Me Pamper Me challenge shredding 4.3% body fat, increased his muscle mass by an additional 5.2kg plus has increased his strength, recording a personal best in his squat (100kg) and deadlift (162.5kg).
Jack has double scoliosis and a torn rotator cuff which limits what exercises he can do eg. he can’t lift anything above his head.
However, I think these limitations has done nothing but made him more determined.
Transformation = Relieve back pain and improved posture. Rob’s transformation took 1 year.
Owner of an Architectural firm, Rob fell into the trap that most business owners fall into which is the vicious cycle of long hours, lack of sleep, increased stress, lack of exercise and poor nutrition. One of the many by-products of this lifestyle is lower back pain and poor posture.
With the inclusion of three online sessions with me, I was able to guide Rob to do rehab exercises, self massage and stretches without having to meet up face to face. We also put Rob through an intense training program and food plan evident through his amazing results.
Rob is another testament that you can achieve anything you want to despite being very busy.
